34 Weeks

I've been planning to post some new pics of my ever-growing belly, house renovations, and favorite baby clothes, but I haven't had the energy to take the pics. The sleepless nights have begun, which explains why I am writing this at 4:00am. Carpal tunnel pain is the main reason for my sleepless nights, with heartburn running a close second. I had never eaten a Tums in my life until 4 weeks ago, now I don't go anywhere without my bottle. They have become my favorite midnight snack. But with only 5.5 weeks until d-day, I'm getting very excited about meeting Ms. Mia. I can't wait to see how much hair she has (since Jarda and I are both mopheads), and whose eyes, nose and mouth she has. We have a childcare class this Saturday, then we meet with our doula (labor assistant) to discuss the birth plans. She was our teacher for the childbirth class so we already know her pretty well, and I'm really excited about having her there for support. Next Friday night is the hospital tour, a little late but necessary. Then I just need to pack my bags, get the carseat installed, and sit back and wait for labor pains. It's all happening so fast!

Mia's Furniture

Here are some pictures of Mia's furniture (from the JC Penney website). All pieces are in the maple color, but there wasn't a picture of the crib available in the maple color. I've assembled the toy box, which is where I am storing a lot of her things before the remodel is done. This weekend we are going to assemble the 2 dressers. I think we are going to wait to assemble the crib until the carpet is installed because we don't have anywhere to put it.
